DEQUEISMO Y QUEISMO

Aprenda cómo no caer en estos errores

No es cierto que decir o escribir “de que” sea siempre un error. 

El error llamado “dequeísmo” consiste en agregar “de” entre el verbo y la conjunción “que” cuando no se debe, como en “dijo de que era un estudiante”, “creen de que es el más capaz”.



Es fácil descubrir el error, pues esos verbos no piden un ¿de qué?, sino un simple ¿qué?: ¿qué dijo él?, ¿qué creen ellos?

El error contrario, quitar el “de” cuando se debe decir “de que”, se llama “queísmo”, y en él caen hasta personas muy ilustradas: “me enteré que habría TLC”, “se quejan que no los atienden”. Lo correcto es decir “me enteré de que hay TLC”, “se quejan de que no los atienden”



Es igual de fácil identificar el error, pues estos verbos piden un ¿de qué?: ¿de qué te enteraste?, ¿de qué se quejan?

El queísmo se presenta también, con gran frecuencia, cuando se elimina el “de” después de sustantivo, en frases que requieren la preposición: “el hecho que no haya llamado, no significa que no esté interesado”, “lo hizo a sabiendas que estaba prohibido”.

Lo correcto es decir “el hecho de que no haya llamado no significa que no esté interesado”, “lo hizo a sabiendas de que estaba prohibido”.

Es tan claro que estas frases requieren “de”, que si no apareciera el “que” a nadie se le ocurriría eliminar la preposición. Nadie diría “el hecho no regresar…” o “lo hizo a sabiendas las consecuencias”.

Aparte de estos dos casos  (“de que” después de verbo y “de que” después de sustantivo, esta secuencia puede ir enseguida de los adverbios de tiempos “antes” y “después”: “cómprelo antes de que se agote”, “venga después de que termine”. Este “de que”, no es obligatorio como los otros. También puede decirse “que” (“antes que se agote”).
