Cuándo usar las preposiciones “POR” y “PARA”…..

En mi práctica de instructor he visto que algunos de mis estudiantes tienen dificultad en el uso correcto de estas dos preposiciones. A continuación ofrezco alguna ilustración al respecto.

La palabra “por” es una combinación de dos palabras latinas: pro y per, mientras que “para” es simplemente una combinación de las preposiciones per + ad que literalmente significan a través + hacia. Por eso, hoy en día, hay tantas acepciones de por y relativamente pocas de para. .

Como guía general,  se usa “para” cuando se quiere indicar destinación, comparación o razón. En la mayoría de los otros casos, se emplea por.

A continuación se encuentran unos de los casos y los usos específicos de “por” y “para” .

Los usos de “para” son los siguientes:

Los usos de “por” son los siguientes:

El estudiante de Español debe tener especial cuidado en el empleo correcto de “para” o “Por” puesto que se puede cambiar el sentido de una frase por completo empleando una u otra preposición.
